A charming vintage collector’s doll featuring a Seeley’s French Mechanical Body™ complete with its original box and fitted with a beautifully painted porcelain head. This quality reproduction mechanical doll was handmade in Oneonta, New York, by the renowned Seeley’s Doll Company, specialists in French-style doll reproductions.
The doll features a key-wound mechanical body designed to animate the head and arms while playing the classic “Sleeping Beauty Waltz” music box tune. The mechanism winds and produces an audible ticking sound, however the mechanical movement is currently not operating and may require adjustment or servicing.
The porcelain head features finely painted facial details, inset glass eyes and curled blonde hair, creating the appearance of a late 19th-century French bisque doll.
