Rose-pink and utterly unapologetic, this original 1950s–60s cocktail half hat brings mid-century millinery to the present day. The fitted cap is shaped in a jacquard-patterned woven straw cloth, with a wave and scallop design that catches the light as it moves. A raised loop-braid trim in deeper pink runs around it, and the edge is neatly bound in matching grosgrain ribbon.
The crowning moment is an oversized silk organza rose, layered with plush velvet petals. It is set on stamped fabric leaves with a wrapped stem that curves down towards the ear. A wisp of raspberry millinery veiling finishes the look. The veil is softly frayed with age, which gives it the romantic, slightly undone character that vintage collectors love.
