A commanding solid brass eagle, wings raised and head bowed as if about to strike, perched with talons gripping a textured tree-branch base. A classic of 1970s–80s decor, these brass eagles turned up in dens, offices and studies everywhere, and they’re now firmly back in favour with collectors of mid-century and Hollywood Regency brass.
The detailing is excellent throughout: finely chased feathers across both wings and body, a well-defined hooked beak and eye, and articulated claws. The forked branch base gives it a stable footprint and a natural, sculptural look from every angle. It makes a strong focal point on a sideboard, bookcase or desk.
