Vintage 1960s Champagne Satin Rose Bubble Hat with Ivory Veil Netting

A true 1960s statement piece. This sculptural bubble hat is covered from crown to brim in layered satin millinery roses in champagne, dove grey and soft taupe. The petals blush to a pale celadon green at their bases, a hand-shaded effect typical of quality mid-century millinery flowers. A fine ivory fishnet veil is drawn over the whole crown, giving the roses a soft focus that catches the light beautifully.

The deep, rounded crown sits low on the brow in the classic 1960s helmet silhouette. This shape was made for bouffant hair and was a fixture at weddings, church, the races and garden parties through the decade.
