Manufactured by Besson & Co, England, this silver plated Class A Cornet is a rare E-flat model. The Cornet features an elegant shepherds crook and unusual removable attachment to hold sheet music for marching. It was manufactured for and imported to Australia by A. P. Sykes in Melbourne around 1925.
Complete with original matching numbered leather padded case and two mouth pieces - one for the high notes. Additionally, the case contains a rare Selmer Valve Oil bottle in glass with a brush.
A superb Cornet with original patina showing age and careful use. In very playable condition, with one slightly sticky valve.
