Murano Art Glass Lamp with Beautiful Beaded Shade

Venetian/Murano art glass boudoir or table lamp, combining traditional Italian glass-blowing craftsmanship with a romantic, Hollywood Regency or Victorian-revival aesthetic. Its design relies heavily on vibrant jewel tones—primarily ruby red, sapphire blue, and deep amethyst.

The hand-blown art glass base features a rich cranberry or ruby-red inner casing visible through a thick clear glass exterior. An organic, bulbous gourd shape with undulating lobes extends downward to an integrated clear glass footed base.

Applied Accents: Hand-applied dark cobalt blue glass cabochons/prunts with textured berry-like surfaces attached to the lower outer body, providing tactile contrast to the smooth glass.

This beautiful lamp comes with a tall, contoured pagoda or bell-style shade featuring a flared rim. Smooth satin-finish fabric in a deep indigo/violet shade with a dark navy braided gimp trim frames the scalloped bottom edge. Heavy dangling beadwork consisting of multi-stranded glass seed beads in alternating clear, sapphire blue, and dark ruby colours that catch the light from the bulb inside.

This hand-blown freeform glass with applied pincered/moulded glass details typical of 20th-century Murano glassmakers.
