Large and visually striking figural table lamp depicting a seated female figure in an Orientalist style, modelled in glazed ceramic (possibly terracotta body with glaze) and mounted with a three-arm brass candelabra. Each arm is dressed with faceted crystal drops, producing a warm, refracted light.
The figure is classically posed, with fine modelling to the face, jewellery, and drapery. The white glazed garments contrast with the darker skin tones and gilt accents, a common decorative convention in European Orientalist lighting of the early 20th century.
The lamp stands approx. 82 cm high, making it a substantial statement piece suitable for a console, sideboard, or large table. Electrically functional and currently fitted with pleated shades (easily interchangeable).
These lamps were produced as decorative interior objects rather than sculptural works, and were widely sold across France, Belgium, and Germany between the interwar and early post-war periods.
