Guinness “Lovely Day for a Guinness” Toucan Cast Iron Sign

A heavy cast iron wall plaque featuring one of advertising’s most loved mascots: the Guinness toucan, flying in with two pints balanced on its beak. This design is a reproduction of the classic campaign, not a period original. The raised lettering and bird are painted in bright orange, red and black on a sky-blue background, with a black border.

The toucan first appeared in Guinness advertising in 1935. Artist John Gilroy drew it, and crime novelist Dorothy L. Sayers helped write the early copy. It became one of the brand’s best-known images for decades, and toucan pieces are still a favourite with breweriana collectors and home-bar owners.
