Cast Iron Royal Coat of Arms Wall Plaque

A heavy cast iron Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom, hand painted in bold gold, red, royal blue, white and turquoise. The full heraldic set-up is here: the crowned lion and chained unicorn supporters, the quartered shield with the lions of England, the lion of Scotland and the harp of Ireland, all encircled by the Garter motto “Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense”, topped with the crown and finished with the “Dieu et Mon Droit” scroll, rose, thistle and shamrock below.

Arms like these once hung above courthouses, post offices and businesses holding a Royal Warrant. This one is a decorative cast piece rather than an original official sign, but it has real presence on a wall and suits a pub, bar, man cave, study or anyone with a soft spot for British and Commonwealth heritage.
