A showpiece lidded jar in the French Sèvres manner, with hand-finished floral sprays on a creamy crackle glaze, pink ribbon swags, and a central floral medallion framed in gilt. It sits on a pierced, scrolling brass footed base and is topped with a cast pinecone finial.
The standout feature is the pierced brass laurel-leaf gallery below the lid, which makes it ideal as a pot-pourri jar: fill it and the scent escapes through the openwork. It also works simply as a statement piece on a sideboard, mantel or entry table.
