Authentic antique wooden Indian clubs dating to the late Victorian–Edwardian period, traditionally used for physical culture, military training, and gymnasium exercise. Hand-turned from dense hardwood, these examples retain deep, original patina developed through decades of use.
Indian clubs were widely adopted in Britain, Australia, and the wider Commonwealth from the late 19th century, valued for strength, coordination, and rehabilitation training. Today, original examples are highly sought after as sculptural objects for interior styling, fitness heritage collections, and period gym displays.
This group comprises:
- Two larger clubs, each approx. 45cm tall
- One smaller club, approx. 38cm tall
Surface wear, marks, and tonal variation are consistent with age and authentic use. No modern finishes or restorations evident. Sold individually or as a group.
Ideal for loft, industrial, or heritage interiors, or as genuine antique fitness artefacts.
