A richly colored 46cm Kokeshi doll crafted by artisan Sato Minao, showcasing the Naruko region’s hallmark floral and striped forms in vibrant mustard, crimson, and black. The head features hand-painted concentric rings and intricate fringe detailing, while the base carries an extensive maker’s inscription connecting it to the traditional Tōhoku folk craft lineage.
Likely created in the late 1970s to early 1980s, it remains in good vintage condition with a minor age crack to the top.
