A genuine mid-century Australian cigarette case made by CELCO / Upman (Sydney), dating to the late 1940s–1950s. Crafted with a brass-plated exterior and gold-wash interior, the case features the classic engine-turned pattern typical of Australian metalwork of the period.
This example has a vintage pin-up illustration applied by a previous owner, sealed under a clear lacquer layer – a common custom style from the era. Light spots of verdigris and surface wear add to its authentic vintage character.
The CELCO/Upman triangular maker’s mark is stamped clearly inside the lid.
A great display piece for collectors of Australian memorabilia, WW2/Post-War items, pin-up art, or mid-century smoking accessories.
