Japanese Satsuma-Style Moriage Vase – c. 1920s–40s
Ornate Japanese Satsuma-style export vase with twin shishi (lion dog) handles and faux ring pulls. Decorated in vibrant moriage (raised enamel) detail, it depicts classical court figures in richly patterned robes. The vase features typical early 20th-century crackle glazing, with one original firing flaw to the left lion’s ring. A highly decorative piece from Japan’s golden export era, full of charm and craftsmanship.
